I saw John Denver with the Starland Vocal Band(Afternoon Delight) when I was about 17 in Chicago. I loved his songs and his idealogy even if his life was far removed from many of his songs. I have all his albums and all his collections and blare them across my neighborhood whenever I can. His music is the only music that can truly mellow me out. He lives on in our memories and his music.

I was listening to Annie's Song and googled "I miss John Denver" and here I am...
So, I agree. I didn't know he was an alcoholic, and what does it matter? I just love his music.

I LOVED JOHN DENVER AND STILL DO. I HAVE EVERY PIECE OF MUSIC HE HAS EVER DONE AND ALWAYS FIND MYSELF LISTENING TO IT. I WISH HE COULD HAVE STAYED WITH US AND CREATED MORE OF HIS MAGICAL TUNES. I MISS HIM SO MUCH.

I could not agree with you more. John Denver is amazing. He makes me feel calm. Sounds weird but he does. And whenever I am feeling hoemsick (born in Colorado) I can always listen to him to calm me down.

anyways, I agree with you, John Denver is amaizng and don't even get me started with John Lennon

I always thought John Denver was pretty cool. And yeah, I loved it when he was on the Muppets, too. I loved that show.
